A few weeks ago when I opened my mailbox I was super excited to see I had gotten my issue of TeenVouge for the month! I got even more excited, however, when I looked at the cover and saw it was Amanda Seyfried who was pulling off a definite retro inspired look. I could hardly wait to flip through the pages of the spread, and I was certaintly not disappointed. The shoot was 1950's pin up girl inspired: right up my ally!
The swim suits and clothes that Amanda got to wear make me so insanely jealous. I pretty much love everything! I drool over the light pink high waisted shorts, and I just about have a heart attack for that gorgeous red ruffle one piece suit. And those Mui Mui heels? To die for. TeenVogue certainly caught the essence of sexy, sultry, and flirty retro pinups in the spread!
It rained all day today, which is so depressing since it's just the beginning of summer. I'm really longing to go to the pool and just relax, rather than practice or lifeguard. I'm dreaming right now of wearing a polka dot one piece retro swim suit, with a big floppy hat, peering from under cat eye sunglasses, and sipping from an ice cold glass bottle of coke with cherry red lips. Ah...wouldn't that just be lovely?
