Hello everyone!

I've got a few exciting things to share with you all..

1. Be sure to stop by my blog tomorrow for my mystery post! It's the biggest thing that's ever happened to me and this blog, so you won't want to miss it ;)

2. It's finally warming up and beginning to become summer here in Ohio: it's about time! The sky is cloudless and temperatures are in the 80's. I went to the pool today (for the first time this summer!), and it was just beyond lovely...

3. I thrifted this little red purse yesterday for just three dollars! It's truly perfect and I've been searching for one like it forever.

4. I got things figured out for my senior pictures! After searching for what seemed like forever (like my senior pictures), I finally found the perfect girl to do them and I'll probably be taking them sometime at the end of July or beginning of August! So, so excited...

5. I found a new spot for taking blog pictures! It's the spot I was talking about in my post yesterday, and it's large and perfect for exploring. I'm excited to have found a place no one's been to yet and I can call my own.

Tonight all I could think about was getting away. Getting away from all these people. Getting away from this awful town. Getting away from everything I've ever known. All I want to do is leave this place and never turn my head to look at it again. I hate it. I hate it so much. This town is filled with these fake people who have no sense of who they are. They have no sense of what life is and what it is to be an individual. I would be happy if I never had to see any of their faces again, nor the faces of the edifices of this desolate, worthless town. It holds nothing to me now, and it took me so long to realize that. To realize that the city limits can be passed and that there is more that the world has to offer.

Tonight I took my car and just drove. I was willing to do anything to just get away, even if it was just for a second. I drove until I found a spot no one had ever been before. A spot that was unspoiled by the wretched beings of my town. I parked my car and ran through the fields as the sun cascaded a brilliant, warm glow amongst the tall grasses. I ran and ran until I broke free into a sunlit field of promise. A field of hope for my future. I stood there for a moment and looked up at the turquoise sky that was turning a beautiful crimson and for once I was satisfied. I had found a place of my own.

The Magic of Ordinary Days.

Summer holds so many magical moments for me. I rejoice in the simplest of pleasures that summer relinquishes to me. A cool sip of root beer on a sweltering hot day. Sitting out on the front porch reading a classic novel while the wind tickles my face and tosses my hair. Watching the fireflies dance playfully with each other in the ink black sky. Laying in the rich, green grass and falling asleep to the birds chirping and bees happily buzzing. Taking long walks in the evening and being rewarded with a brilliant and color bursting sunset at the end. These are the moments that I have always have and always will always cherish.

Forever21 Goodies.

Hello there everyone!

With some money that I had in the bank, I purchased a few things from the lovely Forever21 that I've had my eye on for quite sometime... I just love every item I got to pieces, and I feel like this is my favorite Forever21 haul to date! I bought:

1. A Lace Peter Pan Collar Dress: so romantic and pretty.

2. Floral Mary Janes: my new favorite pair of shoes.

3. A Floral Peter Pan Collar Dress: so perfect for running through grassy fields.

4. White Sandals: a necessity that I was desperately in need of.

5. A Polka Dot Trench Style Dress: reminds me of a little French dress.

6. Nude Oxfords: something I've been looking for forever, and I finally found the perfect pair.

Hello everyone!

I've never been one to dress to the 'less is more' mantra. I always feel the need to wear all my clothes, hair accessories, and jewelry at once or I feel too dressed down. Well, with the little heat spell that we had here in Ohio today I couldn't necessarily wear all my usual go to items! I guess I just felt less creative wearing this simple outfit and it bothers me that dressing can be so easy... I like to feel challenged when putting together an outfit! (Is that weird..?)

Today I was (literally) jumping up and down upon receiving two lovely packages in the mail. I practically attacked the UPS man when he drove up to our driveway... The first package I received was my Forever21 items that I ordered last week. Three pairs of shoes and three dresses: Swoon! Everything fits except one dress (which happened to be my favorite), so I have to send it back to get a larger size :( Booo!

And the other package... Ohhh, I can't wait to tell you all about it, but it has to stay a secret for now. Let me just tell you all this package makes me the happiest girl in the world. It's the biggest news I've ever had for Someone Like You, and I can't wait to share it with you all! But for now, I get to keep you all guessing, hehe!
