Hello everyone!

So, I'm really not going to lie and say this was what I wore today because it wasn't! Do you want to know what I actually wore? A minnie mouse sweatshirt and a pair of jeans with fuzzy socks. Not exactly fashion blog worthy. But hey, if it counts for anything this is actually what I'm wearing to school tomorrow. For some reason I just felt really compelled to take pictures in it today...

Hope you all are doing wonderful and had a lovely weekend.
With much love, Lauren.

P.S. Some of you may have been wondering where my blunt bangs have gone lately. Hm, well they are currently incredibly long and hang well over my eyes, consequently, I have to push them to the side. I'm very excited to be getting them back Thursday, however, because I have a hair appointment to get them trimmed!

Hello everyone!

I've always found it strange how different clothes can create different illusions for your body depending on what type you are. I had a reader ask me recently how tall I am, and I think many of you would be surprised to find that I'm only 5'3! I like to create the illusion that I'm always taller and have longer legs because in reality I have incredibly short legs. Wearing high heels of course always helps, but also creating a long, streamed line is a key to looking taller. Pencil skirts like the one I'm wearing in these pictures are one of my favorite things to wear because they make me look taller and thinner. Because they sit so high up on my waist, it creates the illusion that my legs are long, and of course the high heels only add to the effect. It always pleases me when people think I'm taller than I actually am. It means I'm creating just the illusion I want!

Hope you all are doing well!
With much love, Lauren.

Hello everyone!

It was so unlike me to wear jeans the other day, especially ones that aren't skinny jeans! I've had this pair of jeans for years where they just collect dust in the back of my closet. Every once in awhile though I pull them out. I probably only wear jeans out in public for an entire day maybe two to three times a month. It's just that I hate jeans and I don't know why. Maybe one reason is I just feel so constricted and suffocated when I wear them versus the freeness of my dresses. Dresses are definitely in my comfort zone (which is oddly the opposite of most people). Or maybe it's because for some reason I always feel like I look terrible in jeans. I have incredibly short legs, so anything besides skinny jeans tend to make my legs look like stumps, and I grow incredibly self-conscious.

I was highly pleased of the reaction from my classmates, however, when I wore these jeans to school yesterday. It was funny how many people complimented me for just wearing a pair of jeans, and it really gave me the self confidence boost I needed to maybe wear them again sometime. It was funny because I counted ten people who thought I was going crazy just because I wore a pair of jeans. Silly classmates ;)

Hope everyone is doing well!

P.S. And 22 comments on my post from a few days ago? That's a new high for me!
You all blow my mind...

Hello everyone!

So, when I wore this outfit yesterday I'm not going to lie: I totally felt like a secret agent assassin. It's weird but my favorite outfits are always the ones where I get into a character, which is what I have been doing the past few days. I went through a very uninspirational period recently, but I'm very thankful that inspiration has found me again. Up tomorrow is a 1970's hippy inspired look!

Oh, and do you want to know why I randomly have this red scraf tied over my trench coat? No, not to keep me warm (which is actually not a bad idea) but actually to hide one of my missing buttons on my coat. Just one of the top buttons is missing, but I really wanted to wear this trench so I improvised :)

Hope you all are doing well!

Hello everyone!
So, a few weeks ago I went and hung out with some of my lovely friends from school. One of them is going to college to be a photographer, and I always feel so spoiled when he takes my outfit pictures. He does such an absolutely incredible job! His name is Blake Jacobsen, and if you would like to check out his blog it's here: BLAKE JACOBSEN.

Things in my life have been looking particularly sunny lately even amidst the dreary winter weather. I hope you all are finding the sunshine in your lives, too!

Hello everyone!

Goodness it has been so snowy and cold here in Ohio! It makes it so awfully hard to take outfit pictures... My midterms for school were this past week, so I've been studying for hours upon hours every night. It's been awful! I also feel terrible that I have been such a bad blogger as of late. Just with being so busy with school, the cold weather, and going through a fashion rut have been set backs to my blogging ambitions. I really do apologize for being so absent from all of your blogs, and I'm going to try and gather up some gumption to get back into the swing of things!

Parisian Dreaming.

Hello everyone!

I've been going through a very dead and inspirational mood as of late when it comes to putting together outfits. I just can't seem to put anything magical together, and the dreary weather is definitely bringing down my creative juices. Something inspiration I have had saved on my computer for quite some time now though are these beautiful, dreamy photos by photographer James Kelly. Goodness, I'm swooning over the mysterious, Parisian 1960's vibe of these photos. They make me want to break out my berets, red lip stick, and do a heavy cat eye. Sigh, it also makes me I wish we had subways in Ohio...

Hope you all are doing wonderful!

With much love, Lauren.

Hello everyone!

I went thrift shopping yesterday with some friends of mine, and came across these adorable little red heels. They're in near perfect condition, and even though they're a six and a half (I'm a seven) I'll squeeze because they're absolutely worth it! I was also very excited because I found a petticoat to go under my prom dress for just $15. Thank goodness I don't have to search all over the internet now to find one!

Hope you all are doing well!

Hello everyone!

I would just like to take a moment to explain the reason for my absence from blogging for the past few days. For the past week and a half or so, my OCD got wildly out of control for some unknown reason. The result of this was I began to starve myself. I don't have issues with my body, and I am perfectly happy with my weight. I was starving myself because I was just too scared to eat anything, for fear of throwing up. Even if I did eat, I couldn't eat hardly anything at all. So, it came to the point where I was too weak to function at school for lack of food in my body. I could hardly walk without falling over and I was so pale it was scary. Thankfully the medication I started last week has finally started to kick in and I am feeling much, much better. I've been eating regularly and taking better care of my body. I did loose about 7-8 pounds over the course of this last week, but I'm sure I'll gain it back in no time. I thank you all for your support and kind comments as of late. It means to so much to me to have you all by my side!

Hope all is well with you!
With much love, Lauren.

P.S. I'm terribly sorry that I've been rather absent from the blogging world and all of your lovely blogs lately. I've had some personal issues going on, and I'm going to try and get back into the swing of things as quickly as I can!
