Flashback to September.

Black Maxi: Thrifted.
Hinder Flats: c/o Pink and Pepper.
Lipstick in MAC's Rebel.
Braided Headband: Claire's.

Amidst all of the snow we just got dumped on us here in Ohio, I thought I'd break up the chilly winter posts and do a set of warm photos I never published from back in September. I know, it is hard to believe that there's actually a ground that's not covered in snow in this pathway I take pictures in, but here is proof of it (and now you won't see it for another 2 months).

I remember never posting these photos because I felt quite self conscious and unsure of them at the time. And still around five and a half months later I don't feel 100% confident on posting these, but time has made me less adept at pointing out my flaws and instead seeing the unique little quirks about myself. No one can love the skin they're in all the time-- we all have those moments of doubt, those moments of 'but what if...' It's important to always counteract them with positive things, seeking assurance from YOURSELF rather than others. At the end of the day, sometimes you're not going to constantly have that friend to tell you that you look fine, or the boyfriend who says he wouldn't change a thing about you, or even your parents who say that you are always beautiful to them. Sometimes, it's something you have to find within yourself-- your own approval and your own knowledge that you are, indeed, worth something.

With much love, Lauren.

Lauren! You are such a babe. Like seriously. You really are. These photos of you, you are just so gorgeous. You better believe it!! It doesn't matter how many times someone tells you something its not really valid until you believe it for yourself. Don't ya think?

Honestly I cannot see why you would be unsure of posting these pics! You look like a million bucks here. The Maxi is glamorous and falls on you very flatteringly. I love those shoes <3 <3 and your cuff and eye make up is just too gorgeous.

I know no one is perfect and people tend to be self conscious when it comes to looks but while some are born confident, some develop this trait as they grow. Coming to love yourself and your body is very important and people generally don't realize that early enough. Glad that you have come to accept yourself just the way you are at such a young age. I didn't and regret having thought of myself as not good enough for most of the years I have lived.

You look beautiful in these pics, like a grecian goddess..
No one is perfect, I understand the feeling of being totally unsure of a set of photos, as we are our own first critics - but you look gorgeous here, so I am glad you decided to publish it anyway even if after months! :)

I'm not sure what you feel uncomfortable with for these, but I think you look gorgeous! The 5th photo is my favorite, I love your pose and expression, kind of mysterious <3 And I also really like the braided headband, it looks real! It would be perfect for me, the girl that is clueless on styling hair :P
