It's the Little Things.

Kaleidoscope Dress (for sale!): Forever21.
Purple Beret: Target.
Black Wedges, Gold Chain Necklace: Thrifted.
Basket Weave Clutch: Plato's Closet.
Lipstick in Centrifuchsia: c/o Lime Crime.

Sometimes it's the little things in life that make your heart melt. Like waking up this morning and seeing my little sister left me a note on the kitchen counter before she left for school. It simply just said To Lauren, I love you. We used to fight a lot. We still do. But lately I've realized how much I'm going to miss her. Her giggles and her silliness, the way she wipes her tears with her blanket when she cries. The way she calls me Syd and I call her Lucy, even though my name is Lauren and her name is Gracie. I'll be missing so much of her life when I go off to college. I won't get to see her play away at the piano and excel. I won't get to see her kick the soccer goals and win the game. I won't get to see her bring home that A+ paper on her math test; the grade she gets every time. I won't get to snuggle her and cuddle her, getting the same feeling I got holding her for the first time all those years ago in China.

It's the little things I'll miss.

With much love, Lauren.

P.S. If you're interested, this dress I'm wearing in these pictures is for sale in the shop!

My sister is my best friend. We were twins so grew up always doing the same things. This caused us to also fight a lot. We were always so close but sometimes being close can create fights and annoyances between two people more than regular relationships. As you get older you learn to smooth things out more. :)
Such a lovely dress by the way!

It really is the small things that count! That's lovely that Gracie left you that note! You should record her playing the piano and out it on your blog for us to hear!!!

Aw, this outfit is so cute! Once I get enough money I'll definitely buy something from your closet, everything is beautiful!

Your sister sounds like an absolute doll. My sister leaves stuff like that all the time, but then gets mad at me the next day. 8 year olds....

You are always so cute with your berets! Your straw clutch is so adorable with the floral dress, very summery, and you just look so charming. :) And I know what you mean about little sister, I use to fight with mine ALL the time, but weve gotten closer as we've gotten older. (I think we're close to the same age gap as you and your little sister.)

I really love this outfit! So beautiful! :-)

I am really close to my younger sister too... the thought of moving away always broke my heart. I ended up not going to collage, but got married last year anyway. We live 1 hour apart now but still see each other regularly so that is a huge blessing to me! I would be lost without my sister! :-)
