Sweet Tart.

Hot Pink Blouse, Khaki Shorts, Brown Wedges: Thrifted.
Brown Beaded Necklace: Forever21.
Nail polish in Revlon's 'Sweet Tart.'

Hello everyone!
I'm such a pastel kind of gal usually but I thought I'd try my hand in one of the color trends this spring; neon. Truth be told I think this shirt and a vintage 1970's dress are the only two things I own that are neon. Neon is just too 'in your face' for me and doesn't resonate cutesy enough, but more trendy. And goodness knows that's one of the furthest things I'm from! I actually would have never tried out this look if not for being inspired by my new nail polish color of all things. I simply can't stop looking at my nails

Anywho, do you all remember the 'fox' competition in school I was talking to you all about the other day? Well today the posters went up and I didn't know my name ahead of time, but was pleasantly surprised at what I was called. I'm 'The Modest Fox!' I truly couldn't be more pleased with my name. I feel so proud to represent the minority of girls in today's society that fight for morals and for not sexualizing myself. Although I probably won't get any votes (what guy wants to vote for a modest girl...?) I couldn't care less because I'm proud of who I am and what I represent.

Hope you all are doing lovely!
With much love, Lauren.

The color of the shirt looks awesome on you! It's always nice to step out of our comfort zones every once in a while. I'm super jealous that you can pull off the high-waisted look. I look terrible in high waist skirts or pants.

Well Miss Modest Fox, you look pretty adorable here! You have totally redeamed high waisted, pleated shorts for me, these are insanely pretty on you. (Alright, I just really like the whole look, I think this is one of my favorites of yours.)

Love that color on you!

See isn't it awesome how things that you think aren't so good, turn out to be awesome!? The Modest Fox is such a perfect fit for you. And I think that you will be surprised when you realize that more guys that you think WILL vote for the modest girl! A lot of guys that I know LIKE modest girls more because it leaves more to the imagination, doesn't have to worry about negative comments about how his girlfriend looks, and he won't feel ashamed about taking her home to mom. :)

Keep your chin up and remember: Modest is hottest!

You look amazing in neon, but I agree that pastels are your thing. They work well with your personality and skin tone. The Modest Fox? That's beautiful. I love it. It could be the best blog name, ever.

That's a nice title! I'd like to be called that too! People always used to nickname me 'Little Miss Innocent' and things to that effect and I always quite liked what it represented!

Pastels match you, but this bright color is quite refreshing and looks just as beautiful on you! And congrats on being "Modest Fox"! :)
