Lauren Throughout The Years!

Aw! Baby Lauren!

Here I have a bit more hair, hehe.
Oh, I love my dress in this picture! My mom would always put a different little dress on me everyday... It's funny how I STILL wear a different dress everyday! She engraved it in my mind!
I really love how my hair was cut in this picture! Those are the kind of bangs I want to get right now!
(except they would probably make me look this old again...)
This was my first grade picture and I was six years old. Those were my favorite glasses ever! They had bugs bunny on the sides. :)
First Grade! It's so cute how my two front teeth are only half way grown in hehe.
Third grade! Still sporting the bangs and round glasses look...
Fifth Grade! It's pictures from around this time that are hard for me to look at. I don't know...it was just a really insecure time for me and I hated the way I looked. I wanted to be pretty but decided I was just never going to be. I was too heavy, my hair too bushy, my glasses too dorky, and my clothes too unfashionable.
Oh, goodness...this was my sixth grade picture. I remember that day I had my mom curl my hair with hot rollers because I wanted to look pretty for pictures. It ended up pouring rain while I was standing at the bus stop and completely ruined my hair. I thought I was super cool sporting side bangs instead of blunt bangs!
Seventh grade was when I was finally starting to open up and blossom into who I am today. I got tired of being who I was and decided to start taking more risks. I bought all of my clothes from Old Navy and thought I was hot stuff! I also learned how to straighten my hair! Still, I was very insecure and didn't love myself.
Eighth grade was a huge year for me. It was when people really started noticing me and my love for fashion. Everyone deemed me "the best dressed girl." I ditched my glasses and got contacts and started to wear dresses and skirts to school. My style wasn't really who I was though at this time and it was used to impress people and make me feel good about myself. I was still trying to find out what my personal style was.
Freshman year I had SUPER long hair: the longest I've ever had it in my life. My personal style really started to come together my freshman year and I knew more of who I was. My freshman year was also when I started to like vintage fashion, and I thrifted my first item of clothing! I won the best dressed student of the entire school and it was one of the most memorable and special moments in my whole life.

Sophomore year is when I started this blog and fashion became my passion and something that I truly love. My sophomore year I came to realize really who I am and have confidence to love myself. I learned to know that I am beautiful(what I always wanted to feel!) and not to dress for anyone else but myself.
Today I am seventeen years old! I'm so very thankful to be on this earth, healthy, alive, and happy. I really couldn't ask for anything more. Doing this post has made me cry because it makes me realize how far I've come in my life and the things I've accomplished. I look at how insecure I was, and I'm so proud of myself to see the confident and strong young lady I've become. I'm off to celebrate my birthday with all my loved ones! I hope everyone has an absolutely fantastic day! I know I will :)

What an incredible post, you're an amazing girl! I have found the same security in myself since I started wearing vintage fashion, and I largely have the blogging community to thank-I feel like I have finally found something I'm good at.
Happy birthday, have an amazing day!!

Happy birthday, Lauren! Seventeen really is a great age to be. I loved almost every minute of being seventeen. Like you said before, there are so many freeddoms that come with it without the responsibility of being an adult. I hope you have a wonderful birthday filled with love.

p.s. love the pictures!

I think we've all had some years in our lives when we didn't feel our best. Just be glad you blossomed so early. Now you can focus on the truly important things in life without having to worry about insecurities.

Happy birthday!! I'm sure that seventeen will be one of your best years yet.

Your pictures were so interesting to see! Your hair stayed the same pretty much all your life, right? It's gorgeous though, so that's probably a good thing:)

Happy birthday again!! Enjoy it very, very much, and good luck this year!
