Curls,Red Lips,and a Secret Obsession.

Not too often do I ever do hair posts. Lol, it's not like my hair ever turns out fantastic so there never is anything big to post about. Today, however, I was inspired to do some retro hair and a tiny bit of makeup.
You may not know this, but I have an absolute obsession with the movie, The Notebook. I never mention it on my blog because I feel like I can't express how much I love the movie! Yes, the movie is a brilliant love story that makes me cry every time, but I love the movie more for than that reason. I just adore the clothes. The movie is set in the 1940's, and the clothes are phenomenal.breath taking.gorgeous... I almost don't like watching the movie sometimes because I get so jealous of Rachel Mcadams and the clothes she gets to wear. There is not one outfit in that movie that I wouldn't want to have! The good thing about the movie though is that it inspires me so much... I really started getting into vintage clothes when I first watched the movie. It's pretty much what got me hooked on the 1940's!
So anytime I need a little inspiration, I just type in The Notebook on google images and I am filled with ideas. Last night though, while I was at Wal-Mart I purchased The Notebook so that finally at last I can own my biggest inspiration. I just watched a little bit today and it made me want to wear structured suits, adorable little dresses, elbow length gloves, hats, and play suits!
(Finally getting to the point of this long spiel...) The movie also inspired me to do a little something retro like with my hair. I put it in hot rollers and after taking them out brushed out the curls. Also, I flipped my bangs to the other side of my face and did sort of a Marcel Wave with them. Jeez, I was feeling so inspired I even wore red lipstick out of the house! Let me tell you, that is a big step for me!
I can't wait for Easter tomorrow; it's going to be a fun filled day! :)
