Hello there! ♥
I had a very busy but good weekend at home from Thursday to Sunday. With having my friend Erin, two family birthdays, championship soccer games...it was a lot to take in and my weekend ended up being less relaxing than I would have hoped. That's alright though! It's good for me to have a fast paced weekend out of my comfort of lazy sleeping in and doing a whole buncha nothin' all day.

My little sister turned 10 yesterday and it breaks my heart she's getting so old. I want her to stay my little baby forever. I can't believe it'll be nine years since we've adopted her this coming April...It blows my mind. I was only 11 when we traveled to China, but I still remember everything so clearly and the first time I held her in my arms. I sobbed and sobbed because all I had ever wanted in life up to that point was a little sister and to finally have her was one of the best moments of my life. To think about the sad eyed little girl with the butch hair cut and dirty clothing, to the feisty, hilarious, character Gracie has become makes me feel like a proud parent. She is beautiful in every way to me and I miss her so much already.

These photos were taken last Wednesday and I'm just now getting around to posting them! I don't know why I don't take pictures around the campus more often. Partly because I'm shy and partly because I'm lazy. But with all of the beautiful scenery I want to try and take photos at different locations before it becomes too unbearable to do so. I love the warmth of autumn in these photos!

Hope you all are doing swell ♥

With much love, Lauren.

The light in these photos is beautiful Lauren, and so are you. Your dress is the most gorgeous colour. I get really shy about taking photos in public too, so many questions from strangers xo

Ah, I have four younger sisters and watching them grow has been beautiful and heartbreaking. They're my babies.

What a lovely fall post! I adore the warm colors in this look and the picturesque setting. It was so sweet to hear about your sister--I had no idea that you had an adopted sister from China! My younger brother will turn 10 soon as well and I definitely agree--it's sometimes sad to see them grow up so quickly and slowly lose their childhood awe of the world. I tell my brother often to enjoy being a kid because I don't know one person who wouldn't want to go back to those carefree times for just a day. Gorgeous post as always, Lauren!

Aw sisterly love is great. I'm glad my sister is close to my age though! I can't imagine having a 10-year-old sister! haha

Anyway, I really think this dress is perfect for fall. It's kind of the perfect October color! You always look so pretty in it.
