Carried Away.

Polka Dot Dress, Black Heels: Thrifted.
Beret: Target.

Every now and then it's fun to get out of the box a little a do a conceptual shoot for ye ole' blog here. These balloons were left over from my grad party and were mostly deflated. My mom was just going to throw them away, so I figured why not get some good use out of them first?!

I've posed with balloons for the blog one other time, about three months after I first started my blog which would be about two years ago. It was February and absolutely disastrous...the balloon deflated, I was up to my thighs in snow, the wind blowing my hair and the balloon everywhere. When I got back to the house exhausted, I was so ticked to find that all of the pictures were completely dark and grainy, not one of them able to be used. For good reason, I haven't attempted a balloon shoot since then.

I was super thrilled with these photos though! They were a blast to take doing something new and having a prop. I'd love to do a shoot sometime in the future with rainbow balloons...

Hope you all are swell!
With much love, Lauren.

P.S. If you haven't entered already, here's a lovely giveaway I'm hosting to give away two charm bracelets courtesy of Cutey! :)

This might be my favorite shoot you've done! I love the theme, the dress, and the pictures! Your makeup looks flawless too, by the way. I have wanted to do a balloon shoot for forever, and this is just perfect. SO beautiful, and I give you "props" (haha) for trying again after the first try, that sounds miserable. :)

I've seen quite a few blog posts with balloons and they never fail to look cute! You give it a whole grown-up edge! Looking lovely!

This is so cute! I'm totally stealing the idea when I do my grad party. :D (Does it count as stealing when you tell the person that you're going to, and then credit them when you do? Let's just say it does... it makes me sound kind of mysterious and - exciting. :D)

I hope your grad party went well! Do we get to see pictures? Because I certainly want to!

Wow you look amazing in these pictures! I love the French vibe with your adorable beret. You really look beautiful in these pictures and so grown up too! The balloons were a fantastic prop to add to this outfit shoot too.
