600 ♥

Yellow Polka Dot Blouse: c/o Lulu's.
Straw Fedora: Thrifted.
Tan Clogs: Target.

Ohmygoodness! Someone Like You hit 600 followers yesterday! To say I was thrilled is an understatement...you all make my wildest dreams come true, did you know that? To that saying 'thank you' simply isn't enough...

My blog has been a wonderful little escape from real life lately. It seems as though I live at the restaurant, waiting on rather rude and unappreciative customers or wrapping silverware in the kitchen while the cooks and dishwashers give me creepy stares. (not to mention asking if I'm 18 because that way they aren't staring at a minor). If you think I'm exaggerating; sadly I am not...getting paid $3.70 and hour is hardly worth it, but the tip share I get saves me. I'm thinking about using a bit of it and buying a pair of Gavinas from Blowfish Shoes...hmm, thoughts? This girl right here needs a pair of red heels (that won't kill walking on an 800 acre campus).

EDIT: Okay, I caved right after this I published this post and went ahead and bought them :)

Me and the family went to DQ tonight and I switched out my regular favorite of chocolate x-treme for double fudge cookie dough. I haven't had cookie dough ice cream in years and years but it's what I got every time we went out for ice cream when I was a little girl. Always looking for nostalgia this girl right here is ;)

Tomorrow it's going to be 96 da greez here in the big O-H which is practically unheard of. Going to bask in my day off sitting by the pool, relaxing!

Hope you all are swell, swell, swell.

With much love, Lauren.

Haha, I've been waiting to see how you were going to style these red pants! I am crazy about the yellow top with the red and those wooden heels are the perfect summery shoe for this. Those red jeggings fit you so well, you look really fantastic in them! (Your legs are looking so good, they look really fit!)
Waitressing can be so hard and frustrating sometimes, it's amazing how rude people are to people in the service industry. :P Good luck dear!

Hooray for hitting 600 followers! That's so awesome!
Also this outfit is fantastic. I love the colors paired together. You really look great in those red skinny jeans. They seriously are flattering on you and I'm sure they'll be really versatile for college in the fall.

I suspect this shade of lipstick was made for you...I have a strong feeling about it! :)

Congrats on the 600 followers and good for you that you got the shoes! It's a great way to mark the occasion. ;)

Hi I really do love your blog and your outlook on life. I am in a similar position as you as I am turning 18 in a month and I am going to university next year and I love seeing how you style yourself while remaining cute and ladylike.

Quick question though,
I am from Australia and we don't really work on a tip system but is $3.70 an hour legal?! I mean the average worker at McDonald's would have to be earning at least $7-9 and $3.70 sounds like slave labour!
Just curious about about other countries and people :)

Much love,
Sinead

I always forget minimum wage in the US includes tips, I totally did a double take when I saw youy hourly wage. Then again when I was 17 I was working for £4.22 an hour without tips. Congratulations on 600 followers, I cannot even imagine how exciting it is (hell I am looking forward to hitting 70). Hope you have an amazing day off xo

You look gorgeous here! Whilst you always look lovely, I am allowed to have favourites and I think this outfit looks great! :) You have such a beautiful smile here too.
Also you look really good in trousers! I wonder if you are going to buy more of them?
I currently only own 2 pairs of trousers (1 jeans, 1 work) but keep thinking of branching into bright coloured trousers. They look great.

Hope you are enjoying the summer.
