Pin Up Black Dress: Swap w/ Jessica of Dresses for Dinner.
Spectator shoes, Spectator purse, pearls: Thrifted.

Hello everyone!
So yesterday my family had a little visitor in our garage...a baby skunk! It was seriously the cutest thing ever, but whilst trying to get the little critter out of the garage he got angry and sprayed everywhere. This resulted in making our whole house stink to the high heavens. Ugh.

But, when I was taking these outfit pictures it dawned on me that I looked like Pepe Le Pew! You know, Pepe: the Parisian Skunk from Looney Toones? He was always such a character and he was my favorite... I somewhat resemble a girl version of him in this outfit! A little female, Parisian, pin up skunk! I would be named Pepa Le Pew. Oh, is it just me that thinks this? Guess I should lay off the sedative pills ;)

And yes, I'm sure you all got some wild entertainment and some giggles while looking at these pictures... Along with feeling like I look like a skunk, a chipmunk would also be a proper description of how my face looks right now. A chipmunk with a mouth full of nuts, hehe!

Hope you all are doing lovely!
With much love, Lauren.

P.S. This was the second item I swapped with the lovely Jessica of Dresses for Dinner. (I totally wish I could keep it!). Interested in joining the swap? Just feel free to email me!

lol I wouldn't especially say that YOU looked a skunk! (or a chipmunk for that matter, but I can somewhat see your descriptiveness in there (I'll never be able to look at you the same ever again ;-) ) A great look, Love those shoes and the dress is great and perfectly placed pearls! Great to see you again and I really hope the stench fades faster than it ever has around my area! You look absolutely marvelous as usual! :-)

I definitely wasn't really thinking of a skunk when I saw your photos, but I can see what you mean. Your matching spectator shoes and bag is to die for! I love how classy you look here! Oh, evil skunk. Why must they stink so...

Oh, I adore this, Lauren! Nothing like classically chic black & white :) Hope you're feeling better and recovering quickly from your wisdom tooth surgery as well-- I kept meaning to comment all last week leading up to it, but I kept forgetting! You look like you're doing well, and you'll be so glad they're out when you're done :)

oh! and if you haven't yet heard, come visit me at my new blog at babbleandbloom.com :)

I love how this dress looks on you--it really flatters you! I hope you're feeling much better from your surgery...and you look beautiful even with a painfully swollen jaw. Actually, it kind of gives you a cool shape of face--very different. Sorry about the skunk--ewww!! Skunks are cute but their smell...not so much! I love love love this outfit, and the accessories are perfect too. :)

xoxo

When you mention it you do look like Pepe Le Pew, not in a bad way, in a pretty way. Favorite photo, #5.

You are such a trooper, and you look adorable.

I've never seen a baby skunk before, but they sound cute. I think I'll stick with baby bunnies. :)
