Chiffon Pleated Skirt (worn as a dress): Swap w/ Dresses for Dinner.
Leaf Necklace, Belt: Forever21.

Hello everyone!
The lovely Jessica of the fellow Ohio blog Dresses for Dinner and I did a clothing swap with a few of our items and I recieved this beautiful, beautiful thrifted skirt of hers! I'm just in love with the dream like quality of it and the way it flows... I felt like a forest nymph in this dress and really wished that I had a floral crown to go with this outfit.... That could have just been the cherry on top!

Something about this outfit just totally worked for me. It was so carefree and easy. I didn't have to put a lot of work into it and yet I still felt beautiful and put together (which is rare for me because I usually have to get really dressed up to feel beautiful) I just let my hair go natural, wavy, and messy. I kept my jewelry simple and to a minimum. Makeup was almost nonexsistent. Shoes weren't needed. The sunlight was just perfect and beautiful and warmed me all the way into my heart and to the tips of my face. When I looked up into the soft lighted sky into the fading sun I thanked God for everything he's given me. I'm the luckiest girl in the world.

With much love, Lauren.
P.S. You probably already figured this out, but these photos were taken pre surgery. A swollen face wouldn't have looked graceful, hehe.

I saw one of the dresses you swapped with her over on their blog, and I was like, "Heyyyy, it's Lauren! :D"

It is so breezy, light, and lovely...it looks wonderful on you. I know what you mean about certain clothing items just working with minimal accessories and dress-up. :)

I'm glad to hear your surgery went well! My oldest sister Hope got her wisdom teeth taken out a few months ago, and while I don't have any advice or tips for you, I can truly sympathize. Enjoy all that pudding and ice cream {I'm a tad bit jealous, in case you can't tell, hahaha} and pretty soon you'll be back to your regular self. Love ya! ♥

I love the way you styled this! If only I had a great slip, I would have done it similar. I love the lack of shoes. Perfection.

You look so pretty! I love the third picture. You're right, you really didn't need any dressing up with this dress. It's so beautiful, it spoke for itself.
I hope you feel better soon :D

Your beauty is so ephemeral, so poetic. I feel like as you traipse about the forests, birds would be apt to flock to you and sing.
