Hello everyone!
Golly, I had such a lovely night tonight. I've been in need of a night to myself to reflect, think, and relax and that's exactly what tonight was. I put on a heavenly chocolate face mask, painted my nails, listened to If I Die Young over and over again, caught up with some blogging, watched Made: I want to be a model, and ate a double chocolate chip cookie. Life is good.

In other news, I tried doing a Heidi braid updo for a hairstyle today because it's been so hot here in Ohio... The 90's is ridiculously hot for such a Northern state. I don't know how you Southerners do it... Although this style was easy and very cool to wear, I didn't really like it on me per say. My face is very round and not particularly structured, so it made my face only look more round. And besides, my dad called me Olga all day... Nice to know he thinks I look like a muscular German woman ;)

Hope you all are doing lovely!
With much love, Lauren.

I think the Heidi braids look great on you! :) It's been scorching hot here in northern MN too, which is super weird. It was crazy humid and in the 90's today. Bleh. :P

Looking lovely as always. :) Thanks for guest blogging for me! You're wonderful. :) I'm back for about 12 hours before I'm off to camp again, relishing the internet before I don't have access to a computer for a whole week, haha.

P.S. Whenever I wear Heidi braids my dad calls me funny names like Holga, Helga, Olga, Heidi, and other stuff like that, haha. Oh, daddys...what would we do without 'em? ;)

Those are some really adorable milkmaid braids! I tried it once and I looked downright silly. I'm not so good with hair...

The weather's awful, isn't it? Poor Southerners....I don't know how they manage to survive 100+ temps.

I live the whole look, especially the denim dress! Even though I initially thought it was a skirt..

what do i love most - your lovely braid hairdo or those amazing coloured shoes and bag? i can't tell you!

olga is more a russian name than a german - i never met a german girl named like that (even not when she was very muscular, heeehee).

I have been doing my hair like taht since I was a child and always thought of Leia on planet Hoth and the little girl from The Sound of Music as someone mentioned in a comment too. I used to also do a type of Leia hairstyle (from the first movie) with braids and my mom always called me "Helga" hehe. They are comfortable and fun styles!
