My MAC Lipstick Collection!

Hi there!
For quite some time I've been wanting to show you all my MAC collection of lipsticks with lip swatches! I started collecting them a year and a half ago and have become addicted ever since. I just find the quality of the lipsticks unlike any others I've tried, and feel as though they truly have unique and perfect colors that I'm searching for. My little collection is the perfect six shades that I feel are essential in my every day looks. Of course, I look forward to expanding to more 'fun' colors, but these right here I've carefully planned out and saved up for because I wanted to get a lot of use out of them. At $15 a pop, MACs aren't cheap, but they truly are worth the investment and I hope to help you perhaps find a new color you fancy, or answer questions you have about one.

Myth//Satin //Light neutral nude
A complete opaque nude for me that blots out all my lip color. The satin finish is really nice because it doesn't set into the lines of my lips like other nudes do. It does make me somewhat look dead, so I usually put a little, tiny bit of light pink gloss over it.

Please Me//Matte//Muted rosey-tinted pink
Thee holy grail of pinks for me. The matte finish is perfect for baby-doll esque lips and the light rosy tint looks beautiful on everyone. This is a must have for anyone--a perfect everyday pink!

Speed Dial//Creme Sheen//Light blue pink
A slightly more daring pink than Please Me. The creme sheen finish is pretty because it adds life to my lips and acts as a gloss.

Lady Danger//Matte//Vivid-bright coral red
I originally want a brighter, cherry red as an alternative to Russian Red, so I ordered Lady Danger. Although I do love it, it is very orangey which I don't care for as much and find it hard to pair with things. I think Ruby Woo is more of the cherry red I am searching for.

Russian Red//Matte//Intense blusish-red
If you're looking for the perfect red lipstick, this is it. It's deep and vampy with blue undertones and gives a beautiful retro look to your lips. The matte formula can be very drying though and tricky when applying, but I like it because it helps my red lips stay on all day. I put a new one on my Christmas list because mine is nearly gone (first lipstick I've ever used up).

Rebel//Satin//Midtonal cream plum
My most recent purchase. Looks quite scary in the tube, but goes on quite sheer onto the lips since it's a satin. At times can be a bit patchy, but a few coats takes care of that. Such a lovely, out of the ordinary shade I highly recommend for fall/winter.
L --> R Myth, Please Me, Speed Dial, Lady Danger, Russian Red, Rebel

I actually think Lady Danger looks awesome on you. You could rock it with so many things in the summer. I love orange-y reds. Actually I love all red lipsticks...it's a problem.
Rebel looks super pretty on you too. I love playing with different shades of lipstick.

Oooh, you have a great selection there! I like the nude look one! I have a shade similar to the Russian red which I wear anytime I go to a vintagey event but you make it look so nice with the whole look!

Hope the prayer-journalling went well and it's always lovely to have feedback on my pauses for advent, I don't get loads of feedback on those so I really appreciate it from you! Oooh, I did a Lauren-style outfit (sans beautiful shots and beautiful makeup!) the combination of items inspired by an outfit of yours from aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaages ago!!!x

I love your little collection of lipsticks. I don't own any lipsticks from MAC but I would love to in the future. My favorites from your collection are Please Me, Speed Dial, and Rebel. I am really fond of the the pinks when it comes to lipsticks.

I currently own only one lipstick and it's from Forever 21. The color is pretty similar to your Rebel lipstick. I really want to expand on my lipstick collection and you have inspired me to do it! Sadly, I don't own a MAC store near me!

I was just minding my own business when I sign into Blogger and this pretty little post swept me away. Such gorgeous colours!! I now have Rebel because of you and all the Northern Hemisphere folk rocking it right now. Mac Lipsticks are the best.

Hello! I've always wanted to try and wear lipstick more often. I'm always scared it won't suit me. I think I might try to wear lipstick tomorrow at work, you've inspired me!

Lipstick is one of my favorite things! I love it. It's almost sad to think of what a staple it was for women for ages and now has sort of faded into the background, mostly just worn for special occasions. My philosophy: lipstick is always appropriate :) It's lovely to see you rocking it so often. I unfortunately don't have money for MAC lipstick but I will buy one as soon as I do! I've heard so many good things.

I also like the metod of how you took the lipstick tube photos, because the bokeh from the tree is a nice, added holiday touch!

So gorgeous. You are definitely a girl made for lipstick! I love the idea of lipstick, but I hate the feel of it on my lips, so I never end up wearing it! These are all so beautiful on you :)

I love Russian Red now, I actually bought it because of you, it's slowing replacing Ruby Woo as my favorite.Rebel is so pretty as well, it does look really scary in the tube, I would have never known it wasn't if it weren't for you!

Great post and a lovely collection you have there! They all look beautiful on you. I have a few Mac lipsticks myself and have to agree there's nothing quite like them in terms of the quality and shade selection. Rebel is probably my favourite - it's such a unique pinky-plum and seems to look good on everyone no matter what there skin tone! I'm still in search of my perfect nude/muted pink lipstick so maybe I'll give Please Me a try :) Thanks for the post, it's been very helpful! :)
