Gingerbread Cookie.

1960's Gingham Dress, Vintage Blouse, Heels, Vintage Earrings: All Thrifted.

Whenever I come home to my full wardrobe, I tend to dress in a lot more of a retro style fashion. I can't bring all of my vintage and not versatile pieces to college, so whenever I come home I feel like I have a whole new, exciting wardrobe. Vintage clothing is seriously so much fun. I've been collecting for about five years now and although my collection isn't huge, I look forward to only growing it more in the future. I set up a clothing rack in my room last night when I got home filled with all of my favorite vintage pieces to display in my room. So pretty & inspiring to look at!

Right before I left for college I got bags and bags of vintage clothes from an elderly woman, and hadn't had a chance yet to style any of them up. This little gingham shift was one of the pieces! I got some real gems out of the lot--a blouse with zodiac signs embroidered down the placket, a dress with geisha print, a peach sailor shirt, and a legitimate girdle! Not that I'll be putting that on any time soon. That thing is so tiny it looks like it would fit my 10 year old sister.

With much love, Lauren.

You are such a cute cookie :) But before more on that...you wonderful, sweet thing you. What an amazing comment on my blog. I replied there too about it but in case you don't get to see it there wanted to make sure and let you know it really made my day :) And please know you are so very approachable and give that vibe off strongly. I am super shy and I feel awkward inviting people to my blog. But even as shy as I am, I reached out to you as it was so obvious what a sweet one you are, felt safe doing it. That is a usually unknown big compliment from me.

Speaking of compliments, that dress is adorable! Such a classic. And your hair that way is great as it features your so-beautiful face so well. That second shot is so cute, like you are up to something :) And how happy I was to see both a nice shot of those lovely tights AND a shot of the feet as well!!! You are too good to me :) Those earrings are stunning too.

So many warm hugs for you, dear, and thanks so much again :)
