Reaching For Something Already Gone.

1970's Dress: Giveaway won from LoveCharles.
Clogs Shoes: Target.
Gold Necklace: Thrifted.

Hello there everyone!
So I took the new camera out for its first outfit post spin and gosh...this camera is a lot more complicated than I thought! Even though the T3 is the simplest DSLR on the market, it's still extremely hard for me to go from a point-and-shoot to such an advanced camera. There's so many aspects to consider... aperture, depth of field, ISO... It's really hard for me to have consistency at the moment with my photos, and not to mention just take a decent photo at all. I find that they all look so different and aren't very uniform! I know though that in time and practice I'll be as familiar with my new camera as I would with my old one and I'll be able to capture the images how I want.

In other news though today was my senior class picture where my whole graduating class gets a large picture taken! As a senior, all of the girls wear the same t-shirt that is designed differently every year. This year it said " it's not the end of the world, it's just the beginning." Fairly clever, eh? It's a reference to 2012 and the end of the world! It was so odd and somewhat mind boggling though that I put in my measurements for my cap and gown today....The realization stuck me hard and out of the blue that I really am a senior, in my last year of high school, and will be graduating soon. Time is flying so very fast and sometimes I just wish I could hit a pause button on my life and savor each minute more.

With much love, Lauren.

That is a really great dress :)

I still struggle with my basic point-n-shoot, I feel your pain...if I switched over to a camera with actual features, I can't imagine the trouble I'd have :P

So gorgeous, you really rock a maxi dress! The print is awesome. I know what you mean, SLRs can be super tricky at first but it does get easier with lots of practice! :)

Oh my - that dress looks fabulous on you. I have one a little similar (found in a charity shop) that I haven't worn yet. However, now that I've seen how lovely you look, I'm inspired to dig mine out.

PRINT THIS OUT or at least write it down and take it with you on photo adventures. It's a cheat sheet to aperture, iso, etc.

This dress is so awesome!
