Hello everyone!
Thank you all for the kind words of encouragement on my last post! Thankfully things are getting better and working themselves out. Got my new ID card taken care of today, my computer shipped out, and I already got one of my credit cards back. So thankful!
Being back at Kent is wonderful. Every new semester, whether it's coming back for the spring or the fall I always am so unnecessarily worried and nervous. I fret about everything from classes, to friendships and all in between. Every time things turn out just fine though and I fall right back into the rhythm of life here; it always feels like I never even left. As soon as I step back on campus I'm reminded why I chose this place to be my school and why I fell in love with it. Still have as much love for Kent State as when I first came! The thing I love about being here is the feeling that anything can happen. I feel like I actually am LIVING when I'm here. I feel like I'm better approaching my dreams and making them happen. And strangely enough, I always feel much more motivated when I'm here. Not just academically, but in a social aspect, working aspect, and faith aspect. I hope that all of my future places of residency have this same positive effect on my life that Kent does!
One thing I really notice when I'm at Kent versus at home is my style does this weird change. It gets much more urban and relaxed versus the second I step back home I become this girly, vintage fanatic. I think it just changes so much because of my needs at both places. Going to class all day and walking everywhere I have to strive for comfort and something accessible. Delicate vintage garments and thin fabrics like I wear at home just don't work. Although I would prefer to wear all vintage things all the time, it's just not practical while I'm up here and I come up with much more toned down outfits like this one.
Enough of my babbling tonight! I will talk to all of you soon. Hope all is well with each and every one of you! ♥
With much love, Lauren.

That cameo is gorgeous! Cameos are one of my fashion weaknesses. I love them!
I know what you mean about settling back into campus. Though I'm more comfortable at home than at college, but that's probably 'cause I'm just a freshman.
I love it how cute and practical this outfit is, it suits very well uni life. Keep safe your vintage treasures, you look pretty even if dressed more on the casual side!
Babbling? If you were babbling your name would have to be brook :) Or maybe you would be building a tower. Your sweet musings are always welcome, in whatever quantity you feel like sharing. Glad things are brightening up for sunny you!
And look how beautiful! That skirt is so lively and lovely and that cameo is precious. And, of course, the red tights look SO wonderful on your amazing legs. Thanks so much for the shot of them. Made my night! Red is like my 3rd favorite color tights :)
And now I am babbling for sure so off I go. Be well!
Glad you are glad to be back at school! I do the exact same thing...I'm always worried about coming back, but then it gets better and I remember why I love my school. My style does the strange change as well, and I agree it is just because of practicality.
I hope you have your best semester yet!

That skirt is so damn pretty and so is the color of your stockings that match with your lipstick <3.
Good to know that half your worries are done with. And also yes we all love to dress up :D but comfort is always the priority. I would myself love to wear heels so much more often than i actually end up wearing because c'mon, i don't want to kill my feet by entrapping them in heels at a 9-5 job :(
The colors of your outfit go perfecly with the background, well done :)
I love the jacket! That cameo is gorgeous. You have an amazing style.
Everything about this outfit is PERFECT. Every single piece - they all work together to make a complete look (one which I love). Great layering and accessorizing.
