Retro Red.

Checkered Dress, White Dance Shoes: Thrifted.
Red Cardigan: Old Navy.
Cat Eye Sunglasses: c/o Sunglasses Warehouse.
Headband: Found it on the ground!
Lipstick: MAC's Russian Red.

Hello everyone!
My vintage kick continues. Literally, every spring for the past five years I get this weird obsession. I can't stop watching vintage hair and makeup tutorials on youtube. I look in dismay at all of my clothes that aren't vintage or vintage inspired. I get this intense urge to go thrifting. I listen to 40's music, watch swing dancing videos, and (apparently) sign up for a swing dancing class. I plan out what old movies I'll rent at the library when I get home, and until then I watch The Notebook on repeat. I do research about vintage fashion, follow new vintage blogs, and even start taking photos with film.

I get vintage fever every spring.

With much love, Lauren ♥

I really like what you've acquired here, certainly like what you're stating and

Hmm I've never saw The Notebook but I've heard so many people praise it I'd say it's about time to watch it :)
About your outfit: you look as cute as ever. Your hair like that look sublime and I just adore the dress.

Lauren, you look so lovely in this outfit! Btw- I can totally relate to the vintage craze- the vintage bug always bites me during spring, although I love vintage all year long, too! You have such amazing style, I always smile when I see your photos go up on the ModCloth style gallery :)

I just started reading The Notebook.
I miss your comments on my blog. Did I do something to upset you at one point to receive silence? You used to comment a lot and it has been maybe a year since I saw your name show up. eek. Anyway you are beautiful and I always love your outfits. It is fun to look at hair tutorials. I miss making them but with super long hair it is tough to do. I can watch them without actually doing my hair in that way though, right?? hehe.
