Ed Sheeran Concert!

Hello everyone!
I am so backlogged on posts. This was from two days ago and I since have taken two more sets of outfit pictures and have two sets of snapshots posts to show you...I'll be blogging like a mad women this coming week :)

So Tuesday night Hannah and I went to see Ed Sheeran play at the Ryman Theater and it was one of the most spectucular nights of my life. We were in the fifth row and I absolutely freaked out when I realized how close we were...Ed could probably see all the pimples on my face, ha! Anyways, there were two opening acts and then Ed came on.

To say he is one of the most talented artists I can think of is an understatment. Truly. He sounds better live than on recording, hardly missing a note at all and just playing from the heart. You can always tell when an artist is passionate about what they do and I just felt the energy from him; unlike anything I've ever felt. He was so humble and excited to be there and did a lot of improv and added so many special elements to his live songs that made them personal. It was just him and the guitar onstage. No backup dancers, no frills. Just pure talent.

He played all of my favorite songs and it was just such an emotional experience for me. His upbeat songs I sang my heart out to and swayed (the nice way of saying embarrassingly danced), feeling the incredible energy from the crowd. And, true enough I cried at two of his songs (laugh all you want, I am an emotional person). The first was Small Bump, the most honestly and beautifully written song. The second, my favorite of his; Wake Me Up. It's beautiful and I couldn't help but let the tears slid down my face hearing him play live and seeing that fiery red hair in person.

The crowd was so loud after he played his last song that he came out for an encore and played not one, but THREE songs. And one of them was thirteen minutes long! You could just absolutely tell he was loving it. At the end, he said that it had been his favorite gig he had ever played, that our audience had restored his faith in humanity. Swoon. I believe he meant it 100%, too because later that night on his twitter he even said it and he hasn't said that about any other show. At the end of the show he also took a picture of the crowd on his phone and instagramed it; AND YOU CAN SEE ME! Yeah, I'm that girl absolutely screaming where the white arrow is pointing. #ultimatefangirl

After the concert we went to the merchandise table and I managed to pick up a highly coveted red Ed shirt! Eeee, mega excited. Also I got a poster for my dorm room because, well, why wouldn't I want to annoy my roommate with more of the guys I love to drool over (aka Ryan Gosling).

It was a truly incredible experience I will never forget. I know people always say that after concerts, but I truly mean it. Seeing Ed live made me fall in love and appreciate his music even more- if that was even possible. Even if I never get to see him play again, I'm pretty content just listening to his beautiful songs on repeat in my dorm room over and over again

With much love, Lauren.

I think the concert experience is just so magical. Everyone remembers their first gig and then you can love the gigs with pyrotechnics and giant balloons and the little one with your favourite singer on piano or guitar just belting their heart out. Glad you had a great time at yours!
Also I love the leather jacket with the forest princess look!

Lauren, this is one of my favorite outfits that you've ever posted. You rock that leather jacket so well. And with the floral crown, the outfit is completely stunning. I'm sure you stood out in the sea of fans as one of the most angelic and beautiful ladies there! I haven't listened to much of Ed Sheeran's music, but you've pretty much convinced me that this needs to change. I'm so excited you got to visit my home state! Next time we will have to meet up :).
