Comfy Cozy.

Sweater: Thrifted.
Infinity Scarf, Hat: Target.
Red Floral Dress: American Eagle.
Black Boots: H&M.

Hello everyone!
I have people here at school ask me all the time how I can stand to get up and 'get dressed up' every day for classes. It isn't as hard as people might think. When you put even a little bit of effort into your appearence it makes you feel good about yourself. Whether it's a bit of red lipstick or a smidgen of a heel on your shoe. It makes all the difference in feeling good.

'Looking good' doesn't have to be wearing your best and fanciest dresses to class. This kind of outfit is the perfect school day outfit; comfy and cozy but still showing some effort was put in. It got quite cold here again in Ohio and nothing is more comforting than a big sweater to cuddle into and a basic dress underneath. A nice alternative to sweats (and just as warm)!

Anywho, enough about my fashion spiel. My day was absolutely made today with a little act of kindness. I had forgotten my meal plan card in my dorm when I went out to get breakfast this morning. Flustered at the check out, I was searching all in my bag for it. The cashier simply looked at me and smiled and said though, "don't worry about it," and paid for my breakfast. I was absolutely flabbergasted and so thankful. It was such a kind gesture to do and had me on cloud nine all morning. It's the little things

So in exactly ONE week I will be sitting in the Ryman Theater seeing Ed Sheeran play live. Guys, I am dying of excitement...been listening to his CD nonstop trying to memorize all the lyrics so I can sing along at the concert. I've also been contemplating back and forth on what I'm going to wear. I've never been to a concert (unless you count Bowling For Soup when I was 10 LOL) before so I'm at a total loss...I want something 'cool' but that's not really an adjective that describes anything in my wardrobe. Awh, I'm sure I'll find something though!

Hope you all are doing well! Love you

With much love, Lauren.

This outfit is so perfect for class! Love the sweater!

How exciting, your first 'real' concert! I would recommend a cardigan and boots - I have been to some venues that are on concrete and even if you wear flats, you feet are FREEZING.

I LOVE this outfit! the sweater looks so cozy, and that dress is such a beautiful, bright color, a pop of color in the dull winter. I have a similar colored dress and sweater-I'll have to try that look out!
I agree with you about dressing up for school though-it's not too hard. Many people I know fall into the "yoga pants and hoodie" category, but after four years of a uniform, I'm always eager to dress up, and it only takes a couple of minutes extra each morning.
ed sheeran-so lucky! have fun girl xx

Haha towards the start of the uni year I dress up, and then as it goes on I get lazier and lazier in my appearance! You always look lovely though. I think you should wear your leather jacket to Ed Sheeran, it looks amazing on you! :D

You look so cute and cozy! <3

We'll be out of town about the same time! I leave a week from Thursday. Eeep!! I haven't been to my aunt and uncle's ranch in nearly THREE YEARS! I'm so excited!!

I'm sure you'll have a blast at the concert! Concerts are awesome! I've had the good fortune (and great parents!) to be able to go to two of my favorites bands concerts and they were both a ton of fun! I'm trying to decide if I want to wear my "owlsom" dress from eShakti to the concert, or one of my Owl City tee shirts. ;D Cool vs. girly - isn't the always the question?

This is such a cute look! I think when you're interested in fashion its easier to put together 'dressed up outfits' - you've obviously got a great sense of style!

This is my last week in my public school, so I've been wanting to dress up. This was the perfect inspiration for when I went to my closet this morning!

Only one week! I'm so excited! I'm going to see you in only five days!

Oh and for the concert, cute dress, tights/leggings, your leather jacket and some boots would be perfect. You know what I'm wearing! :)

Ready or not Nashville, here we come. <3
