Fragile Crystal.

I've been thinking a lot lately just how important actions are. One action can change a relationship forever, for better or worse. All it takes is what you do one time to change a person's perception and opinion on you. Their love, their trust, their faith. It's scary, really how easily things can be messed up. How quickly and in the blink of an eye things can change. Often times I wonder if it's worth it to have relationships with people when I am always the one being left behind and disappointed. Even by those who I never thought would. I wonder when and with who I'll always be important to, I'll never come last in their life. I try and picture this person, male or female, husband or best friend, and it's so hard for me. Because when all of you've been is let down time and time again, it's hard to still have hope.

We always say we won't do what others do to us. That we understand how painful it is to be treated a certain way. But yet...our actions speak differently them our words do. Those simple actions can never be taken back. You can never take back the pain those actions cause people- they stick with a person for life and cannot be erased. Think about that and let it sink in. Your actions, will always effect and be a remember by a person. Forever. Till the day they die. Relationships are such fragile crystal, glistening and beautiful, unlike anything on this earth, but only able to be shattered at the tiny slip of a hand. It only takes one time to alter it forever.

Think before you make actions. Don't just think about what you want, what you need, what's best for you. Think about the people involved. All of the people and the love and the feelings that can be broken with a simple action. Never to be forgotten. Never to be forgiven. Never for a relationship to be the same as it was. Just think about it.

"Your light will shine when all else fades."

Lauren darling, I hope you're feeling better and realize that you're wonderful and there's no need to be sad! You are a rare and wonderful breed of girl and you deserve happiness and best friends and everything else you want and one day you will have it.

Thankiu for this inspirational post, and I couldn't agree more. I'd actually gone through similar experience before, and it really hurts, a lot. But I'm grateful that I'd grown up too :)

You are absolutely right. One mistake can alter the course of a relationship forever, and then you are left wondering..what IF, what IF I hadn't done that, where would I be now? Where would WE be now? The problem is that more often than not you don't realize that you are affecting the relationship with your actions until it is too late. And then you regret it with your whole heart. I'm glad you realized this, Lauren. And although the relationships you develop with other people make life worth living (at least to me) they can be very complicated and painful sometimes. So what to do?

Lovely post, Lauren, and so true, too. It reminds me of the saying, "actions speak louder than words." and you know, they really do.

Have a lovely weekend!
