She Only Drinks Coffee at Midnight.

1970's Handmade Dress, Boots, Feather Earrings: Thrifted.
Hat: c/o OASAP.
Lipstick in MAC's Please Me.

Hello there!

Wow, thank you all so much for the kind words on my blog layout-- it truly means a lot! I was hoping to have more time this past weekend to continue working on it; things like the right side buttons for my summer in NYC and my semester in Florence still need working links, as well as, the pages above for my outfits and writing. I want this new blog layout to be more easily accessible for you all because I have a lot of content (talk about over 1600 posts in the past 6 years; yikes!). So, I wanted to take the things that draw most people to my blog and make them easier to find and look through. My writing, my outfits, when I lived in NYC, and when I lived in Florence. If you all have any other suggestions for things you'd like to be able to find easier on this blog, let me know! There's now a search bar on the right hand side where you can enter in key words to find related posts you want to read, but for now I'll keep you guys updated on the progress of the layout when it's 100% finished with no kinks!

On a style related note, I thrifted this hand made 1970's dress back at a church rummage sale a few weeks back. I went back and forth with myself on whether or not to buy it...it's pretty ugly, but yet there's something charming about it at the same time. So, for a $1 I figured it was worth it! I joked around that I looked like a pilgrim/puritan today, ha. Not probably my best outfit choice I've ever had, but this dress is mad comfy + it has pockets + it cost less than a price of a salted carmel mocha at starbucks.

win. win. win.

With much love, Lauren.

P.S. Been listening to this, this, and this lately. x

Even though you don't really know me, I felt like that blog title was just for me ;D Not because I drink coffee at midnight, but because I love "Meet Virginia" and I've been listening to it on repeat lately! Sometimes clothes that are a little weird are the best, I think the dress is cute on you!

I saw the Mac Miller video and was so confused by the kids in animal costumes, haha! And I totally get it, I've gotten pieces that aren't everyone's cup of tea, or that fit me strangely- but I feel strangely attached to those pieces, so I know I will keep wearing them:)

Tut tut I forgot to comment on your last post! Naughty Sarah!
Anyway after that repramand I adore your new layout, not that I didn't like the old one but you're right this does better reflect where you are now in your life. Very sleek and grown up. :) It is such a privelage to watch you grow, develop and change throughout the history of your blog and I can't wait to see where life takes you next.

I was wondering if there is anyway to break up your outfit posts? By that I mean perhaps by season so when the colder/warmer weather hits it would be easy for people to find outfits that relate to the upcoming season, or a yearly lookbook type thing (very technical there lol) where you can see all the outfits from that year on one page?

I don't know if that is possible as we both know I don't have a blog, it's just something that I find helpful when I'm reading blogs as I like to go back into the archives when the weather changes and look for insperation.

Hope life is treating you well and that updating the blog with the 1600+ posts isn't too hard.

I absolutely love this dress! It may be handmade but you make it look so flattering! I think a great side bar would be posts about college and your fashion classes. Thats something that I think a lot of people would want to know about! xoxo -jessivitz
