Rumor Has It.

Floral 50's Inspired Dress: Swapped with Katie of Beautifully Pure.
Blue 1950's Stilettos: Thrifted.
Basket Clutch: Plato's Closet.
Pearl Necklace: Gift from my grandmother.

Hello everyone!
This is the second piece that I swapped with Katie; a beautiful 80's does 50's inspired vintage dress. Boy oh boy did I love this beauty. I put a white slip underneath to poof it out a bit and it was so much fun to twirl and sway about all day. Not to mention the dress has pockets- so conventional! This was such a beaut of a dress that even my classmates loved it which is rare for them because they are rather, ahem, uncultured.

I shipped to Katie my yellow polka dot blouse from Lulu's and I'll have to make sure to show you all when she has the post up! Super excited to see how she styles it :)

Speaking of Lulu's! I received my package I ordered about a week ago from them containing my graduation shoes! Meeps, they are so perfect. Since my gown is gold and my dress underneath is white, I wanted a neutral color to flatter both. I also wanted a wedge because no one wants their heel to get stuck in the grass when walking up to the podium, hehe! Oh, and my last qualification was that they had to be super high...I'm so short I need my legs to be elongated! So hopefully soon I can show you all a picture of my new pride and joy.

I also have a few other exciting packages coming my way! One containing some buisness cards I ordered for the fashion show (they're black and pink polka dot!) and a retro high-waisted swimsuit bottom from American Apparel that is seriously my dream suit bottom...Can't wait to receive them!

Hope you all are doing well, and as always thanks to each and every single one of you for your support
With much love, Lauren.

I love these clothing swaps you did with Katie of Beautifully Pure, its so fun to see how the two of you have styled the same dresses differently!
I do like this, you look like you're on your way to a english tea! (And pockets? I love dresses with pockets!)

Goodness, it's such a beautiful dress and the hair suited it perfectly with the pearls also! So demure! You look utterly enchanting!
Though it makes me a little envious! I almost bought this dress in reverse at an antiques centre about 2 months ago. It was the blue with the white flowers, exact same shape. My boyfriend said I had too many dresses and I didn't buy it (plus quite expensive). I regretted it and then yesterday I found out a colleague at work's daughter went there and bought that exact dress!!! It was the only one in our size 8!!! The swap is a lovely idea although I'm sure I'd have fallen in love with that dress and been really sad when sending back!

This dress is amazing! I love it so much. The subtle blue floral print is beautiful. You talking about graduation shoes reminded me that I need to find a pair too. And a dress. Ugh.
