Lulu's.com Review.

Hello everyone!
I've always wondered if the adorable pieces from Lulu's were worth the little bit of money I sometimes have. After seeing Lulu's featured in a few of my magazines, I was so won over by the sweet vintage inspired clothing that was trendy and fairly affordable, too. Although I've been tempted to order from Lulu's (especially some of their shoes!), I've always refrained. Truthfully I'm just too scared to try out a new clothing store I know nothing about, worrying that the money I pay for a new item online won't be worth it. I was so incredibly thrilled and flattered though when Lulu's asked if I would want to try out a few of their products for a review. So appreciative am I to have had this opportunity, and hopefully I can help you guys with any skepticism you may have when buying clothing from Lulu's.

First item: BB Dakota Kassia Red Dress ($89.00). Funny story about this dress. Back in December before Christmas I saw this exact dress on Modcloth's site and wanted it so badly to wear to Christmas mass...It was of course way too expensive so I never ended up buying it, but it truly did remain my perfect holiday dress. Fate really must exist because this dress found its way back to me! Although I still wouldn't pay this much for a dress, the price at Lulu's is cheaper than it was at Modcloth which is a definite plus. The fabric was a pretty, luxurious satin that felt so smooth to the touch. The fit was all but perfect except for the bust; but that's really expected because I have a nearly nonexistent bust to begin with! So of course filling out a bustier is going to be tricky. The length was perfect and lady like, and not to mention the cut outs in the front and back were such a trendy, unique touch.

Second item: A Great Notion Golden Yellow Top ($35.00). This top was seriously perfect in every shape and way. It was made of light weight, see through material but with a solid cami underneath it was perfect. Little yellow polka dots were wonderfully playful, and the top had a little poof to the sleeves that was so darling. And my absolute favorite part? The crochet peter pan collar (surprise). Little, delicate pearls were attached to the collar and all were attached firmly. For the price and quality, this was probably my favorite piece of the three.

Third Item: Woodland Frolic Mint Green Dress ($67.00). This dress was the mint dress I've been looking for. The perfect color with lady like pleats and the ever so trendy high-low hem I've been wanting to try. The swiss dot neckline simply won me over, as well! Truthfully I was a bit dissapointed though when I received this dress. The color and style were true to the pictures, but the dress was horribly wrinkled when I took it out of the box. I figured a good wash and hang dry would get rid of the wrinkles, but after it was all said and done the same wrinkles still existed. The tag says that you can't iron the dress, so I'm not sure how the wrinkles are supposed to come out. That was the only real draw back I found to the dress, and other than that it was lovely.

Overall I would definitely order from Lulu's again. Their items are affordable and sickeningly cute...which is awful for my wallet! I think I'm going to go ahead and purchase a pair of cork wedges I've had my eyes on for awhile now to wear to my graduation ceremony...They'll go perfectly!

Also, if you'd like 15% off your total Lulu's purchase you may use the code SOMEONELIKEYOU, which is in all caps and case sensitive. The code is good from 4/03/2012 to 4/10/2012 and applies to U.S. and Canada residents.

Oh, and I plan on having actual individual outfit posts featuring these pieces in the upcoming days so stay tuned

With much love, Lauren.

P.S. Thank you to the lovely Jessica of Midwest Muse for helping me out with these photo collages! It only took me four hours of messing around to admit defeat and ask for help haha. So anyways, thank you Jessica! You are a life saver.

These all look fantastic on you and they all have their own, pretty look to them. The skirt on your red dress is fantastic, it looks so fun and twirly. ^_^ I really like the prtty mint dress, maybe a steamer would help with the wrinkle problem? (I have a little hand one I use and they are amazing! Super fast and they don't damage anything, I use mine on my silk shirt and skirts.)
I'll have to check back for that coupon code!

I adore that first dress. I'm also really nervous about new stores but I've had my eye on Lulu's for a while. I'm happy you did this post, maybe I'll just have to check out Lulu's myself.
