Hello everyone!

So today's "spirit theme" was Hollywood day! I instantly knew who I wanted to be when I heard that there was going to be a Hollywood day: Angelina Jolie-Pitt. No, I don't have a crazy obsession with Angelina. I've actually only probably only ever watched one of her movies! Last year I was looking into Halloween costumes when an Angelina Jolie one came up. I got the idea to be her for Halloween, but I ended up being a bride instead. So, since I've already had this costume idea for a year, why not put it to good use?!

I was afraid people wouldn't know who I was if I just had a maxi dress and a baby around my neck, so I wanted to try something risky: a pregnant Angelina Jolie. At first I was unsure whether or not to do the pregnant bellie because the school administration might deem it "inappropriate," but I took the risk and the whole look was a major success. In a sea full of half heartily done Snookies and Lady Gaga's, I definitely stood out and was one of a kind!

I feel like if you're going to dress up in a costume, why not go all out?! I personally don't really care if I look stupid or embarrass myself. Most of the time people actually admire you for doing something so out there.

Wearing this pregnancy bellie all day was so much fun, but whew I don't know how real pregnant women do anything! Perhaps some of you may not know, but I have this absolute fetish with pregnant women.. I know it's strange, but I just think pregnant women are so darn cute with their little bellies! I actually kind of liked the wayI looked with my little bellie :)

Here are just some of the details of the outfit:

  • The writing on my arm is actually a real tattoo that Angelina has. The tattoo is the latitude and longitude coordinates of where all of her children were born ( Madox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh)
  • The baby doll in my hands is actually supposed to represent Angelina's first biological child, Shiloh.
  • After Shiloh, Angelina Jolie was pregnant with twins, Vivienne and Knox, which is why my bellie is so huge.
  • In case you were wondering, for my bellie I just have a pillow from my living room stuffed underneath! It worked out really well and actually stayed put, too!

Hope everyone is doing great! Tomorrow's theme for school is "pink out" in honor of Breast Cancer awareness. I've got a few tricks up my sleeve ready for that one, hehe ;) See you all tomorrow!

With much love, Lauren.
