Animal Kingdom.

Cat Dress (via Modcloth): Borrowed from Sammi.
Vintage Ferragamos, Vintage Purse: Thrifted.
Beret: American Apparel.

Hi everyone!

I've admired the 'Hooked on a Feline' dress from Modcloth for a long time because I am an avid cat lady. It's been way out of my budget though at $90, so any hopes of sportin' the beauty I had were pretty much crushed. But then one day fellow blogger friend Sammi knew I had said I loved the dress and offered to let me borrow hers to style! Gahh, the sweetest thing ever.

This dress is as dreamy in person as it is online. I wanted to take full advantage of styling up this beauty, so this is the first of three posts showing how this dress, although expensive, is worth it because it can be styled a variety of ways! The first look I wanted to do was what I naturally gravitate towards; feminine, vintage. Thought the downtown carousel would be a fitting location for this feline friendly frock :)

With much love, Lauren.

I'm not a cat person but I do have to say I love this dress and it looks fetching on you!! I love the way you styled it with your beret (I'm a sucker for berets!) and the backdrop of the merry go round is perfect

You look stunning as always, also loving your new hair cut!

You are right, this dress is insanely cute. Even though I am not a cat person myself, the print is amazing! And you look rather cute in it yourself. I think the background for the shoot is perfect, you have a great eye for clicking perfect pictures.

I looove this styling, Lauren! Honestly, this dress has been styled on other people more than I've actually worn it, but you all have given me such great ideas with what to do with it! The carousel is a perfect backdrop, too. Can't wait to see the other ways you wear it! <3
