Old School.

1960's Skirt, Pussy Bow Blouse, Belt: Inherited.
Purse, Earrings: Thrifted.
Heels:c/o Pink and Pepper.

Hello!
I got to take some of my newly acquired vintage pieces out for a spin the other night when I went to the opening of a local jazz club restaurant in town.  Any excuse to sport a 1940's inspired look has got me hooked. However, that umbrella is not just a prop, I'm afraid. It's hard to tell but I was amidst a torrential downpour that left me soaked by the end. Black and white suited the pictures best since they were already so grainy and oddly colored with the lack of light but it's nice for a change!

I've been working on shooting photos for all of the vintage and listing them in the store with their respective details. I've got quite a few up already if you want to have a sneek peek! None are up for sale yet but I plan on doing a post when they are. I discovered that one of the pieces is actually a vintage Lacoste dress! Can you believe my luck? After researching I found that the little alligator emblem on the dress is legitimate because the designer on the tag did a collab with Lacoste in the 60's. So awesome to even be able to touch such a dress.

In other news, I've got another floor set coming up for Aero this weekend! Although this time rather than going late into the evening I'll be waking up bright and early to get there at 5. I am not a morning person by any standards but I am a coffee person so it equals out :)

I have a lot more to tell you all and say but I suppose I won't overwhelm you too much right now! Life has been busy and wonderful lately ♥

With much love, Lauren.

Classica beauty! You look like you're the swoony love interest in 1940s film noir. I am a huge fan of the black and white.

These black and white pictures turned out great! It's amazing how much an umbrella prop can add to outfit pictures!

Loving the change in the black and white - so pretty! Have fun working on the next floor set - it sounds like a lot of fun, even if it is 5 am. :)

This outfit is SO retro and elegant, filled with class. Though I do wish I could see color, the b&w adds to the vintage feel. Gorgeous top!
