Hello!
These past few days have been really rough ones for me. After all of the misfortunes just building, building, and building... I finally had a little break down last night which admittedly helped me feel better. Sometimes the best remedy for me is a good nap, alone time, and a new discovery as of last night--Ben and Jerry's 'Chocolate Therapy' ice cream. They weren't kidding on it being therapeutic.
Today things started looking up though which I was grateful for. We had a beautiful, torrential downpour this morning across campus which left me feeling renewed with the falling rain. Something about walking in it and hearing the drops hit the pavement is so soothing, so comforting. It washed all of my worries, stress, and insecurities away.
I'm happy that my weekend is now here since I don't have Friday classes. Looking forward to taking my time to actually catch up on homework instead of rushing through it. Is it also weird that I'm looking forward to just doing my laundry and laying in bed? Throw in exploring a new coffee shop in downtown Kent that I haven't been to yet and it sounds like a lame perfect weekend to me.
Hope you all are WELL!
With much love, Lauren.

I'm so glad you're feeling better! When I was in college, I struggled with depression and it's primarily the reason why I left. But, rain used to really help me because it felt like the heavens were opening up and releasing all of my stress and negativity.
That skirt is gorgeous! I love how it fits you, and those flats are cute, too!

Your hair is so beautiful! And I'm glad you enjoyed all the rain this morning...I ended up finding out my shoes were leaky in the rain :/ Anyways, your weekend does not sound lame...it sounds awesome!
You look super sophisticated :) Love this outfit. And I'd agree that your weekend sounds pretty perfect. It's nice to just have a mellow, relaxing weekend sometimes.
Keep your head up high Lauren! Chocolate ice cream is the best soloution for those kind of grey days :)
I am loving the color of your skirt!

You look like such a classy lady here (not that you don't NORMALLY, but you just look especially bourgeois!) - I love this look. I'm sorry these last few days have been rough (I can definitely relate). Sometimes rain can (literally and figuratively) wash everything away. Sending love your way!

Sometimes Ben and Jerry are the only two people who can put a smile on your face :) Hopefully everything's a bit sunnier now. I love all the little details of your outfit, from the collar to your pretty earrings :)
