You and Me, Everyday.

Red  50's Dress, Heels, Basket Purse: Thrifted.
Hair Bow: AA.
Lipstick in MAC's 'Russian Red.'

Hello ♥

I felt like dressing in full on retro today; something I don't do much of any more. Today is 'the day' that Allie and Noah met in The Notebook, June 6th, 1940 so I took inspiration from that since it's my favorite movie (so typical, I know). This outfit is more 50's than 40's, but I still wanted to dress in some sort of vintage to represent today (obvz. because I'm a creepy fan girl) and I hadn't worn my new dress yet. Still can't get over how lucky I was to find it. It was all sorts of humid and rainy today so my apologies for the awful hair and wrinkles on my dress. Weather never likes to suit my looks.

I hope you all are well! I am ONE follower away from 900 which absolutely blows my mind. I have a few little things I plan on doing for that special number so stay tuned. I am truly so blessed and greatful to you all for reading my blog and supporting me. It must get old (and seem fake) for me to say it so much, but I just never feel like I can properly express my gratitude. So thank you.

With much love, Lauren.

omgosh, it's THE dress!!! Lauren, it's absolutely gorgeous on you. The most incredible find! And it looks so cute with the bow and your new wicker handbag (I have a smaller version of one like it!). So lovely, and I love The Notebook representation!

Ok, so this set of photos just blew me away! Not only do you look ridiculously stunning but the ethereal quality of the photographs and the fog in the background--wow!
I am not quite the Notebook fan (couldn't get past the first 10 minutes of the movie) but I think you nailed this look in terms of the era and the character.

You look GORGEOUS. I am glad to hear you reached 900 followers. I used to have that many until I ditched putting it up on my blog and noticed that so many people who used to follow me don't even use their accounts. . .so now it is more like 150-200 readers total from the amounts of pageviews I get when I make a post, which is such a huge difference. :( I think also because I post more about God instead of fashion is also a reason too for a decrease, but that's too bad.
Anyway, LOVE this color on you so much and think the fit is splendid too!
