Well long time no see!

Sorry for my absence. It's been a busy, but one of the most exciting weekends I've had in awhile. I have lots to tell you all!

I worked on both Saturday and Sunday and was told the biggest surprises. One of my managers asked me if I wanted to be the social media specialist and accessory specialist for my Aero! At each Aero there are different specialist jobs you can work your way up to if you're good at a certain skill. The social media specialist is a recent addition, and I get to start and manage an intagram for my Aero store! It is literally a dream and I am so honored they asked me so soon because I haven't worked here very long. Additionally, the accessories specialist takes all of the accessories we get in (shoes, jewelery, makeup, swimsuits, purses, ect.) and gets to display it around the store. It's somewhat like a visual merchandiser where I get to display the accessories where I think they look good or will sell best. And finally, they asked me to be a permanent member of the floor set team! Ahhh, guys I am just so excited and over the moon...this job has been everything I could ask and hope for in a summer job. God has given me the biggest blessing. Praying really does work.

So along with lots of work another reason I was busy this weekend was I went to Columbus to see one of my college friends, Sky! She's the closet friend I have distance wise (the rest are mostly in other states), so it was a real treat to get to spend the afternoon, night, and morning with her. We went shopping at a local mall and we got to go into a Lush store that just recently open. I now understand the obsession everyone has. I bought two bath bombs and have used one of them; heavenly! We shopped around and caught up, not to mention stopping by MAC so I could pick up my now fourth lipstick from them. This one Lady Danger! It's a bright, corally red which I've been wanting to try since my Russian Red is getting low.

I spent the night and we listened to records, watched Youtube videos, and The Breakfast Club. In the morning I got the chance to go to her church which made me super jealous because it was perfect in every way, shape and form. Also, funny fact:Sky and I were actually saved around the same time so we've adventured on our journey with Christ together! She has been an amazing support system and friend for me since my first week at Kent (she was the first friend I met!) and I am so excited to spend another school year with her this coming fall :)

Hope you all had as lovely as a weekend as I did! Missed you all ♥

With much love, Lauren.

P.S. I've been so lucky as of late to have some awesome features. I was in the Modcloth newsletter this past week and also their number one most liked picture in the style gallery. Aeropostale posted a few pictures of me on their facebook page (which has almost 9 million likes!) and also Teenvouge did a little feature on me. I am blown away by all of these things! x

I have a question, and maybe you could write a post about it in response to those of us who don't know. But I am confused as to what you mean by "become a christian." I've been reading your blog for a while now and you've always talked about god... weren't you a Christian before college? You've definitely written about god on this blog before, and always struck me as a god Christian girl. Or do you mean you actively made an open to commitment to Christ rather than just being raised a Christian? Positive all the same, but I honestly am confused about the difference!

And yay for going to see your friend! Isn't it so great visiting your college friends in their home? It is like getting to see another side of them!

Finally, that skirt is just so super amazing - I love that pattern and it looks so pretty on you!

Hi Lauren! Congratulations - that sounds like such a fun job and I'm sure you'll be so amazing at it! It seems like you've been very blessed lately :) I absolutely love your skirt, it is so pretty, I wish I could find something like that here - I get the feeling charity shops in the UK aren't as good as the ones you visit! Have you ever written a tips on charity shopping post? xx

Oh Lauren, that's such awesome news! All of it really, but those two new positions at Aero are perfect for you (speaking of Aero, I love that little eyelet top you're wearing here)! And all those other honors with ModCloth and being featured on Aero's page, etc. Things are definitely going your way, seems like! I know this summer turned out differently than you originally thought, but sometimes it turns out to be for a reason/for the best! Sounds like you had a great time with your friend Sky, too. Oh, also, I really love that delicate little wishbone necklace! I always end up buying quirky statement necklaces and then I always want to wear simple ones, and then I'm at a loss, heh. :)

Hi there! It's so good to hear that things are going well for you! God is so good isn't he? Sometimes it's so hard to see how great the future will be, but when you finally get there, it's better than you could've imagined! I'm super excited for you gaining more responsibility in your job. It sounds like so much fun! I hope the rest of your summer continues to be full of excitement!
