I had a very lovely one today myself, and I had much to be thankful for! All my family is healthy, I have a warm home, food on the table, and people who love me. Who could ask for much more? Thanksgiving is so much more meaningful to me as I get older each year than when I was just a child. It really is about thanking God for all the good things he gives us..

Today was very enjoyable for me though, and as soon as I woke up I smelt something very familiar: PUMPKIN PIE! Ahh,one of my most favorite deserts that only comes around once a year! My dad was busy baking all this morning, and in the afternoon we travelled a whole five minutes to my great aunt's house for dinner. It was so nice to see all my family; aunts, uncles, and cousins, especially my cousin Samantha who went away to college this fall. When it was time to eat we all joined hands and said grace, and then move on over for the stampede! I myself aren't too much of a Thanksgiving food eater, but I did get one of my favorites; yams! I don't eat turkey, but I did manage to get a picture of the "Icon of Thanksgiving" before it was cut!

About an hour later we had desert; if we couldn't button our pants (dress in my case), after this there was no way we were ever going to! My favorite fall treat, pumpkin pie, is what I attacked first, and piled the fluffy and delicious whipped cream a mile high. Mmmm it was delicious! The rest of the day we just visited, and it was like everyother Thanksgiving; adults arguing about politics, grandpa falling asleep, and that content feeling in your stomach. You know, I really wouldn't ever have it anyother way though, and don't know what Thanksgiving would be without these comforting things!

I was sad though that I didn't get the chance to go to my other grandmother's house for Thanksgiving, for I went to visit my boyfriend for awhile and his family. I will see plenty of my grandma tommorow though, because tommorow is "national shopping day",(actaully known as BLACK FRIDAY!) I better get to sleep...tommorow is a big day that starts at 5 o'clock for me! :)
