Awe, why hello there everyone!
I hope you all had just a lovely, relaxing, and enjoyable Memorial Day! It was the hottest day of the year so far here: topping over 90 degrees... (Hence my huge mass of frizzy hair). Matt and I wanted to go to the pool today, but after getting all ready and arriving we found out the pool was closed! Argh, it would have been just the perfect day to go swimming, too...

I also had a little cookout with the family today, and went and took these pictures this evening. I think I'm going to start snapping my photos in the evening all the time this summer because the sunlight I captured in some of the pictures was just breathtaking! How was all of your guys's Memorial Day?
Oh, and I also just wanted to thank all of you who took time to comment and congratulate me on my last post for my recent exciting happening! You all make this experience all the more better with your kindness and support :) Thank you!

With much love, Lauren.

I'm glad you had a fun Memorial Day! Mine was spent babysitting...oh, well. :P :) I wish it was hot here! It's been rainy and muggy all week long.

I agree, pictures always turn out best in the evening as the sun starts to set. :)

What a sweet, casual summer look! I especially love your straw fedora, it's the perfect finishing touch :) The light in these photos really is beautiful, too- it seems like you've stumbled on your perfect time of day for photos. Can't wait to see the new dress that's coming your way!

I like the hat you paired with your sun dress, it's a romantic summer look with the sun shining down like that!
