Your Betrayal Leaves A Harsh Sting.

Blue Peter Pan Collar Top (actually a dress): Modcloth.
Floral Shorts, Tan Flats, Messenger bag: Thrifted.
Key Necklace: Gift from Matt.

Some days I'm completely content with the way my blog photos turn out. The weather is just right. There is sun, but not too much. My outfit is creative and fits my style. And a combination of my inspiration and skill come together to capture the image I have in my mind for a photo shoot. Other days, my photos turn out not quite how I want, and it leaves me rather dissatisfied. My posing is awkward. The sun creates too much shadow or washes me out. There's something about my outfit that doesn't click...

I wish I could just weed out all of my "bad photo" days, but unfortunately I can't. I look at some bloggers and I'm so jealous of how consistently they deliver breath taking and inspiring photos. I want to be that kind of blogger some day.

With much love, Lauren.

I think the bloggers who consistently deliver photos have a lot of unposted shoots! Just saying, don't be so hard on yourself! :)

Just wanted to let you know that I think your vintage inspired style is so adorable- so classy and cute at the same time! I especially love the pop of pink a few posts below.

Jessica from What I Wore always says that if you have a set of pics that just aren't working, then just don't post them. Nobody will blame a blogger if they take a day out of blogging. I have a bunch of pictures that'll never see the blog because I look completely washed out. Honestly, the time of day that is best to take photos is early morning and when the sky starts to turn to dusk. It keeps it from being too shadowy and the golden glow makes everything appear warm. Good luck:)

And for the record, I think this outfit is soooo good!! I love the pattern mixing!

I think this look is beautiful! The pictures are a tad grainy, but I still think they look really good. I was actually going to comment on how I am so envious of this very outfit.
