Hello everyone!
I was feeling awfully experimental the other day when looking at my closet and decided to pair 80's with 50's. What a combo, right? I actually thrifted this 1980's dress last fall for "80's" day at school, and never thought I would wear it again because it has these ridiculously huge shoulder pads... I imagined though that it might be interesting to pair the dress with my 1950's circle skirt that has a nipped waist and a very full skirt. I quite liked the effect the outfit gave me of a tiny waist, and how the shoulder pads balanced out the fullness of the skirt. We have a winner ladies and gentlemen :)
With much love, Lauren.
Such a creative idea Lauren! The two pieces creating volume at either end give you this gorgeous hourglass silhouette, it's fantastic! P.S. Super love how by pure coincidence we both cut our hair the same way at the same time.. go check it out. Love always!!

ReplyDeleteYou look great! I love that blouse/dress!
ReplyDeleteGreat usage of the dress, thogh it makes me wonder what the dress itself looks like in it's entirety. A beautiful skirt too! I love your outfits!!! :-)
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great look! I would have never thought to combine the two looks- you're so creative!
