A few days ago my blog hit 1 million page views! I can't even fathom and wrap my mind around that number. It kind of freaks me out that my face has been viewed a million times, ha, but it's also very humbling that people want to read and see what's going on in my life. Which is also really strange because I don't really feel like I have a life worthy of you guy's time.
My blog has from the start been kind of this place where I wanted to help others. I didn't want them to have to go through the same things I struggled through whether that be having a bad high school experience, self esteem issues, being afraid to wear what you want, dealing with mental illness, going through a break up...I thought if I could just share my experience, it would strengthen and help someone else to know that they could get through it, too. In NAVS and church they talk a lot about finding your way to reach people and be a positive influence on those around you. It could be through playing an instrument and singing, leading a bible study, volunteering, meeting with people to talk about things going on in their life. I always found I couldn't do any of those whether it be I just didn't have the talent for it, or I was too shy.
I feel like blogging is my perfect medium to show what it is to live a life for Jesus and be a light to those around you. It wasn't my original intention for this blog, but through the past four and a half years God has shown me that He had me create this little space for a reason.
That's all a really round about way of saying thank you guys...and if you ever need anything, I'm here. Seriously. It may take me literally forever to answer that facebook message or email, but I will; I promise ♥
With much love, Lauren.
