Hello there everyone and happy 2013!
Did you all have a swell New Year's Eve? I was particularly dreading mine to be honest because I had no one to spend it with and nothing to do, but it actually turned our rather spectacular! Had a delicious meal with my family, played some Apples to Apples, and watched my dad dance gangnam style. Oh, and did I mention my 12:00 kiss was from my handsome kitty cat? He's such a dream boat (back away ladies, he's mine) ♥
Anywho, I went on a quick little shopping trip the other day to spend a few gift cards I had; some even from a whole year ago! I've been getting into classic basics as of late and that was my focus for this little trip. To stay away from my typical lace, peter pan collars, and fit and flare dresses!
It would shock most of you to know that for years I have wanted a leather jacket. Yes, you heard me right. Lauren, the girlest girl of all wants a leather jacket! The only thing keeping me from buying one all these years is that I haven't found the perfect one. I spied with my eyes this beauty at H&M though, tried it on, and with that it came out the door with me in a pretty bag. With some coveted over the knee socks of course!
At Forever21 I picked up a black and white striped shirt that I've had my mind on lately since stealing my mother's for a day. Also, a huge scarf to keep warm walking across campus, a cream belt to replace the quite worn down one I always sport, and a neutral flippy skirt because it was too lovely to resist.
I've been doing a lot of research on what I wanted my next MAC lipstick to be (my first was Russian Red) because with them being so expensive, I really wanted the color to be one I liked and used a lot. I went with the intent of buying Creme Cup, but upon trying out the lipstick next to it, Speed Dial, I found that it suited me better. I never want to use it because it's just so pretty to look at...sigh, lipsticks are my absolute weakness.

I like that you are changing things up with your style but I also like seeing you with your girlier clothes because I like you am a girly girl.
